  1. Gang,
  2.     Well, finally got time to send this in.  I was in San Jose a couple weeks
  3. ago and got the chance to meet, and have dinner with, Dave (NN1G) and Jeff
  4. (WA6AHL).  The invite came via the QRP Mailing list from Jeff.  We went 
  5. to one of those microbrewerys for dinner.  Especially enjoyed the waiters
  6. description (when asked by Dave) of the taste of the various types of beer
  7. available...  "beery" ;-) ...  Anyway, I had a great time talking about 
  8. radios and all with them and appreciate the invite from Jeff.  73s all!

  28. Yes.  While once in a while the phasing dots are overspecified, it's
  29. a good idea to always follow them if you see them.  Otherwise, you
  30. might end up cancelling out the signal you're trying to get.

  35. Hmm...  That means something went wrong with the winding.  Are you using
  36. the right wire gauge?  Are you _sure_ it's the right size of core?  Are you
  37. using real magnet wire?  (Normal plastic-insulated wire is not the same.
  38. Magnet wire is insulated with a thin coat of enamel.)
